Current League Fixtures

Rangers remain top despite their 2-1 defeat by Sharks while Gabros took over second from Insurance by beating them 2-0.

However, Insurance left the pitch enraged after Gabros fans invaded two minutes from time to fight with the away players who were protesting about a refereeing decision.

Insurance wing-back Justice Christopher, who had just made his Nigeria debut marking out George Weah in a World Cup qualifier against Liberia, collapsed against Gabros due to exhaustion and had to be rushed to hospital.

Julius Berger had a poor preparation for their Champions League second round first leg match against SC Villa of Uganda by drawing 0-0 at home to Nationale.

Crowd trouble caused the abandonment of the Jasper v Enyimba game as home fans were enraged when the visitors were awarded a goal they thought was offside.

Match officials were attacked, and fans battled with an assortment of weapons in the latest dismal outbreak of violence in the league.
